Sir John Cass’s Foundation awarded a grant to the London Borough of Islington to enable three young people to travel to Brazil to take part in a mini Olympics. The games are for young people who have experience of homelessness and aims to challenge perceptions of young homeless people. The three young people from Islington will be competing in six track and field events. A spokesperson for the Games said: “We use the power of sport to challenge the negative perceptions and treatment of street children.”
