Come and join us at the Inaugural Sir John Cass’s Foundation Fundraising Dinner
In the spectacular surroundings of The Charterhouse founded in 1348
Please book online at: sjcffundraisingdinner.eventbrite.co.uk
At Sir John Cass’s Foundation, we have reached another milestone in Cass’s 300-year history and are embarking on a fundraising programme to enable us, with your support, to substantially increase the number of disadvantaged children and young people in London whom we help each year.
At this inaugural event, we are raising funds to support the bursaries awarded, where disadvantaged young people have promising futures but are unable to apply for the education and support they need for their future. We’ll match any contribution that you make.
We’ve shared in some great success stories such as:
You’ll hear from bursary recipients on how their lives were changed by a Cass scholarship and there will be an auction of fabulous ‘money-can’t-buy’ prizes. The Foundation will match-fund your donations, with no administration fees charged, to make your gift go even further.
You’ll get to see the Gardens and rooms at The Charterhouse which has served as a plague pit, a Carthusian monastery, a Tudor Mansion … Elizabeth I met the Privy Council here before her Coronation in 1558 and James I used the Great Chamber, where you will dine, to create 130 new Barons. Later The Charterhouse became a school and an Almshouse for the “Brothers”, some of whom you will meet on the night.
And, you’ll get to have drinks in the newly-opened Sir John Cass’s Foundation Learning Centre, another educational project supported by the Cass Foundation.
Please help us make this event a fun night to remember with money raised going to disadvantaged young people – if you’d like we’ll keep you informed of their progress.
